LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A second Long Beach earthquake today was felt acrossSouthern California. At 2:42 PM PST today August 21, 2011, Long Beach and sections of Los Angeles and Orange Counties experienced its second earthquake this week. While today’s quake was centered in Compton, it struck just a few miles away from the epicenter of the Long Beach earthquake earlier this week.
Greater Los Angeles county residents felt a 2.5 earthquake this afternoon; the quake had with a nominal depth, just ten miles below the earth’s surface. Today’s quake was centered in Compton. The quake was two miles east of Willbrook, close to Downey, and eleven miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
