NOAA hurricane predication center says the following:
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo/gtwo_atl_sub.shtml?area1#contents
. A SMALL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 300 MILES EAST OF
CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA IS PRODUCING A CONCENTRATED AREA OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE NOT
FAVORABLE FOR SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM BEFORE IT
REACHES LAND IN THE NEXT DAY OR SO. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...10
PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WEST-SOUTHWESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH. FOR
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS SYSTEM...PLEASE SEE PRODUCTS FROM
YOUR LOCAL NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE.
"6/1/2011 315am CST: If ANYONE lives in the area, try to get pictures of the system as sunrise hits!!
What appears to be a borderline tropical depression has formed of the east coast of the United States.. and is heading in a brisk southwest direction towards the city of Daytona Beach Florida...
In between Daytona Beach and Jacksonville FL as it appears right now.
Currently the NWS only has "strong cell" listed for this.. and NO warnings.. it appears to be gathering power and steaming south to the coast.
We shall see what actually arrives in Daytona Beach... if anything.
Keep an eye on this one.
much love to one another
