- I look forward to November here in South Florida every year. Year after year ever since I've been here in 1956, it was always cooler than summer, with bright sunny days and dry crisp air.Not this year!It has been very windy and wet, (raining heavily right now!) for days at a time, all this month. Many Thunderstorms with lightning - And so hot! -- In the mid-80's most of the time now,rather than the upper 70's. It's in the upper 70's nowadays only around midnight till the sun comes up. Not one day this month of November has it been like a typical November day.Is this going to be the 'new normal' ?Wonder when the 'new November' will be?!DeeThis week brought several big headlines in extreme weather news:
- Towns in Illinois are recovering from a series of tornadoes that ravaged the region.
- A massive Thanksgiving storm system is threatening holiday plans along the East Coast.
