On June 12, 2010, the Gulf of Mexico Loop Current apparently stopped probably due to the oil spill. This, in turn, stopped the Gulf Stream. As stated in John Moore's paper "The Gulf Stream Has Stopped" published in the fall of 2010, this is the second most important story in 2,000 years. Moore's paper (reviewed by two scientists and three editors) cites readily verifiable, scientific sources (such as the U.S.Navy). As an interesting aside, the U.S. Department of Defense paid for a study by Peter Schwartz and Doug Randall "An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security" (October 2003, attached). The two premises put forth are: - A dramatic slowing down of the Gulf Stream
- The Gulf Stream stopping altogether
So, you may ask, "What's the big deal?" How about the beginning of a mini-ice age (5-10 years)? How about the beginning of a full blown ice-age lasting generations? Moore states "What we are seeing this winter of 2010-2011 is a replay of the film, "The Day After Tomorrow, in slow motion". What we are seeing (violent climate change) in England, Ireland and Scotland is just the beginning of far worse, much more violent, abrupt climate change world-wide.
Moore's documents the history of all major government's knowledge of these matters going back to at least 1979 in his just released 2 DVD set "Global Warming, What the Government Isn't Telling You". Much of Moore's work comes from his de-briefing U.S. Navy submarine veterans about the classified briefings they attended in the U.S. Navy, beginning in 1979. John Moore is a radio talk show host with seven shows a week on three different networks. He is a combat veteran of Vietnam (where he flew 57 combat air missions, and was in the Tet Offensive) and a homicide detective since 1973. John has been on Fox News TV nation-wide twice. John is available for interview by telephone, or in person, by calling him at 866-965-3007. His e-mail address is: www.jrliberty2001yahoo.com if you want a review his 2-DVD set "Global Warming. Editor's Note: I'm sitting here in New Jersey writing in a blizzard with almost a foot of snow.
