READ ME NOW ! Count returning between 74cpm and 110cpm.. normal levels are 20-30cpm (as indicated by past tests done at the same location).
Several of my viewers already know , but if you're a new viewer please understand , I TAKE VERY SERIOUSLY THE REPORT OF HIGH LEVELS !! I drove across the country from North Carolina to Washington State taking readings after Fukushima Japan (over the summer 2011)... watch those videos here:
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dutchsinse+radiation+test
mostly LOW LEVELS were detected across the country. I reported low levels and told people things were "fine".. quote me .. "come to the west coast things look fine".
I reported that indeed LEVELS WERE LOW -- at the time -- nothing I could detect along these levels except in Colorado at 5,000 feet near granite rocks...
I always said, If I get a high reading I will Test and retest it to make sure its not an anomaly or incorrect -- thats why I have three geiger counters now and take multiple 10 minute readings.
So for me to take the time to report high levels, in the face of saying things were LOW back in June/July -- AFTER TAKING DOZENS OF READINGS ACROSS THE COUNTRY .. I don't take this responsibility lightly.
I have to put this information out and let you decide for yourself IF you want to take the risk. It pains me knowing that kids go sledding, that people build snowmen, that people EAT THE SNOW --- I can't in good conscience sit back and leave this unreported.
The next test INCLUDES ALL THREE GEIGER COUNTERS outside in the snow ! processing now ! 1120pm CST 2/13/2012 -- each video is in HD so its taking forever to get processed... and even longer than forever to upload it on youtube.

convert CPM to uS/v or mS/v here:http://www.blackcatsystems.com/GM/converting_CPM_mRhr.html
quote:
"For those who prefer to use Sieverts, 108 CPM is about 1 uSv/hr for C060, and for Cs137 it is around 120 CPM per 1 uSv/hr. "
This means my first test @ 110CPM = 1 uS/v per hour. Which means 24 uS/v per day ....
24 uS/v per day X 365 days in a year = 8,760 uS/v per year !!! That is roughly 8.5 mS/v per year -- which equals about spending over an hour at chernobyl !! (that is per the PBS site below). We are coming up on one year from Fukushima -- if these levels continue it means we ALL spent over an hour at chernobyl if the levels carry on for a full year !!!!!
The second test (video you are watching now) = 74CPM ... thus meaning over the course of a year .. it is like spending OVER A HALF HOUR at chernobyl.
thats the rough math --- this is NOT good news.
how much radiation is too much? how am I coming up with the chernobyl exposure comparison? here is a chart to see:
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/the-daily-need/how-much-radiation-is-too...
=======
I have done two separate other measurements OUTSIDE in the snow directly -- 110 CPM .. and another test at approx. 62CPM.
Again.. High end 110CPM... middle test 74CPM.. low test 62CPM.
Normal is 20CPM to 30CPM based upon my past measurements with the same devices.
Be safe, don't ingest the snow, don't let the kids roll around in it.. keep the pets minimally exposed to it.
much love during these times,
