MENTOR-on-the-LAKE -- A small earthquake in Lake Erie caught the attention of people in the shoreline city Mentor-on-the-Lake in northeast Ohio. But there was no damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center today reported a "micro earthquake" occurred about 10 p.m. yesterday about six miles northwest of Mentor-on-the-Lake. It was rated a magnitude 2.6.
A police dispatcher said she took a lot of calls from concerned people. Patrol officers checked for any property damage and found none.
