Where’s the Holiday Spirit?: 70-Year-Old Walmart Clerk Gets Punched in the Face on Christmas Eve

A 26-year-old woman is accused of punching a Walmart cashier in the face 

on Christmas Eve after she was asked to show a purchase receipt to the 

70-year-old clerk.

The incident took place at a Walmart store in Western New York, where a woman 

and her boyfriend had just purchased some electronics on Saturday night. 

The woman became outraged after the clerk asked her to show her 

receipt – a routine act – and according to other shoppers, began screaming 

at the top of her lungs. It was then that she punched the 70-year-old in the face, 

sending her flying across the floor before fleeing into the parking lot with her boyfriend.

Although the two ran, they were quickly surrounded by dozens of customers 

who followed them to their car, surrounding it so the pair couldn’t leave the scene.

This is just the latest in a slew of aggression seen throughout the country this 

holiday season. One such brawl took place at the Mall of America in Minnesota, 

with both food and chairs flying after a rumor began circulating Drake and 

Lil’ Wayne were about to make an appearance at the shopping center.
