Israel & Turkey To Square Off?

So far the Israeli blockade of Gaza has only seen a few killed and two attempts blocked; however, what might be looming on the horizon could send stocks worldwide into a real tail spin- ad if they needed yet something else to add to the morass. Turkey and Prime Minister Recep Erdogan seem to be looking for a fight. They may just get what they want. 

The Irish-flagged Rachel Corrie was the latest to make an attempt to break the blockade on Saturday, but, after four calls to change course from Gaza to Ashdod were ignored, Israeli troops boarded the Irish-flagged Rachel Corrie some 28 miles out to sea and sailed it to the Israeli port of Ashdod after the ship's pro-Hamas passengers stood by their determination to break the Israeli blockade.

Turkey seems to be wanting some attention.

Turkish security sources quoted Prime Minister Recep Erdogan as preparing to go beyond abusive rhetoric against Israel and considering using his navy to break Israel's siege of Gaza - or even sailing aboard the next flotilla to break the blockade in person on the assumption that Israel would not dare stop him. I'm afraid Erdogan has much too high of an inflated ego to think his presence on a ship will get a FREE PASS and an opportunity to PASS GO while collecting $200.

This is not a game of monopoly!

Meanwhile, in Washington, Turkish ambassador Namik Tan said his government would break relations with Israel unless it apologized for the commando raid on its flotilla for Gaza which left 9 activists dead after they attacked the troops. In Ankara, prime minster Recep Erdogan said Friday, June 4: "I do not think Hamas is a terrorist organization. They are Palestinians in resistance, fighting for their own land."

Sure, and the Tooth Fairy will leave a one ounce gold coin under your pillow tonight.
