Hello Larry,

 

I suppose this will get to you one way or another eventually if not already. But I thought it was worth getting out. Could this be debris from or associated with that asteroid scheduled to come in real close anytime now? And then it occurred to me how easily we discount this as just a random, passing (CLOSE) asteroid when perhaps it is more incoming from Nibiru, the conspiracy theory legacy of urban mythology now?

 

There are several short videos as well. This just happened but on one video there is a clock which must have been incorrectly set because the date stamp is 12/31/2012. . . . Clips coming in from RT.

Did Earth Gravity cause Asteroid to Swerve,Hit Satellites?

Asteroid may be shaken by earthquakes, as it zips by Earth by The Extinction Protocol    February 15, 2013 at 3:50 am   February 15, 2013 – SPACE - An asteroid which is to hurtle close to the Earth tomorrow may experience a seismic jolt as it passes through our planet's gravitational field, scientists suggest. The 45m asteroid, named 2012 DA14, will fly by at 7.8 km/s at a distance of just 27,000 km from Earth. It will be visible in New Zealand skies from about 2.30am (although not with a naked eye), but will make its closest approach to the Earth about 8.25am. It is forecast to be the closest recorded asteroid, passing well inside the geostationary ring, where many communication satellites are located.  While Earth has experienced many tremors from asteroids striking our planet, new research by Richard Binzel, a professor of planetary science at the Massachusettes Institute of Technology, suggests many near-Earth asteroids experience a seismic jolt when they pass too close to our planet's gravitational field. “We are going to be looking closely for evidence of seismic activity on 2014 DA14 as it passes by,” Binzel said. “This is the first case of an object coming close enough to experience quakes and where we have enough notice to plan observations.” The idea of asteroid-quakes came to Binzel when he was pondering a mystery about “space-weathered” asteroids. “As asteroids move through space, they slowly turn dark-red. This phenomenon, called ‘space weathering,’ is caused by long exposure to cosmic rays and solar radiation. For decades, however, we have known about a handful of small asteroids that looked light and fresh; they were not space weathered.”  Calculating the orbits of the non-weathered asteroids, Binzel and colleagues discovered they had all had close encounters with Earth in the past million years. “We believe they were ‘shaken up’ by their encounters with Earth,” he said. “Gravitational forces during the flybys can stretch, rattle, and torque these asteroids, causing dark, space-weathered material on the surface to be overturned, revealing the fresh stuff underneath.” Unlike on Earth, there is no Richter scale for asteroids. Instead, Binzel measures the force of the quakes in units of gravitational acceleration, or gees. “These asteroids experience [seismic activity] in the milli- to micro-g range,” Binzel said. “That might not sound like much, but remember these are small bodies. Gravity is not very strong, so just a little shaking or stretching goes a long way.”  Binzel believed an asteroid floating beside an asteroid experiencing such a quake would see the surface “slowly sway or rock by a few centimeters. Other things to look for would be puffs of asteroid-dust rising from the surface and gentle avalanches on the steepest slopes of craters.” MIT post-doctorate Nick Moskovitz, who works with Binzel, is coordinating observations with worldwide observatories, including New Zealand’s Mt John Observatory, to determine the colour spin, shape, and reflectivity of 2012 DA14 as it passes by. Strange Booms, Shakes Puzzle Experts - Tennessee

Tennessee: Mysterious Shaking Puzzles Experts In Morristown

Gannett News Service – “Morristown, TN– Late Tuesday afternoon dozens of concerned neighbors called Hamblen County 911 to report the earth shaking and the sound of a large blast.

At first the the US Geological Survey reported there was no earthquake in the area.

That prompted local emergency management officials to spend Wednesday looking at other options.

10News spoke with TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation) who ruled out fracking or quarry activity.

Then, we checked with the University of Memphis Center for Earthquake Research and Information, sponsored by the USGS.

Geologist Gary Patterson went and pulled the records from sensors on Tuesday and says he could see activity consistent with an earthquake or quarry blasting.

Emergency Managment Agency Director Chris Bell says there was no licensed blasting in the Hamblen County area on Tuesday.

10News also confirmed with the area’s only quarry, Vulcan Materials, that no blasting happened yesterday.

Patterson says the activity shows up over a large area with sensors reporting vibrations in Copper Ridge, Avondale Springs, Green Top, and Lonesome, VA.

He says the USGS doesn’t have a lot of sensors in that area which may have resulted in the automated system’s failure to report the activity.

Patterson says they need more time to investigate, but either an earthquake or quarry blasting could solve the ‘Morristown Mystery.’”

I got a text from a buddy of mine telling me about some large booms going on in Morristown. He lives about 20 minutes away from there and doesn't remember hearing or feeling anything. I guess the first boom shook the walls of one man's home so bad that it actually cracked the plaster. My first thought was The Oakridge facility but it's probably too far away. Maybe caused by fracking?

Morristown residents felt the earth shake not once but twice Tuesday, but the U.S. Geological Survey says it was not an earthquake.
The cause of what residents say felt like an explosion is a mystery to officials at this point.
Resident Willie Strange had barely made it through the front door from working all day when he felt his home move around four o'clock.
"Came in and sat down. Flipped the TV on and all at once, it was a jarring explosion. I thought someone had set off some dynamite charge. I could feel the walls shaking," said Strange.
He started looking around and noticed cracks in his bedroom walls and molding. Before he could inspect the rest of the house, he felt it again.
"I felt like another little explosion right behind that. So then I got outside and I seen the neighbors. Everybody was outside looking around wondering what was going on," he said.
Strange and his neighbors weren't the only ones. From one side of Morristown to the other, residents flooded the emergency dispatch center with calls of concern.
"It was chaotic. We probably received 80 to 100 calls," said dispatcher Greg Simmons.
"I tell you what it shook the whole house here. I thought something blew up!" one caller said.
After about 20 minutes the calls slowed and things went back to normal around town. That's when Strange found even more cracks around his home and on the outside as well.
Now he's left with damage and nowhere to place the blame.
Around 10 o'clock, dispatch reported another rumbling. They said they received less calls than the first episode.
The Emergency Management Agency says they are investigating the cause. They say there is no major damage to report.
