HEARTWARMING ! Quadruple amputee Taylor Morris lost his limbs while serving in the military in Afghanistan and recently, the 23-year-old returned home to his Iowa town where the person who helped him every step of his recovery waited: his girlfriend, Danielle.
Only a few months later, doctors call his progress in recovery remarkable, and Morris credits Danielle for that fact. She helped her boyfriend with his rehab and, as shown in moving photos, when it was needed she would carry him where he had to go … even up and down steps.
Morris received the Bronze Star of Valor and paid tribute to Danielle at the time, saying, “If I had hands, I’d put this Bronze Star on Danielle.”
Still, Danielle’s not the only one who would call Morris a hero. When he returned home to Cedar Falls, Iowa, what he saw included thousands of people lining the streets in the town, cheering him on and welcoming him home with a hero’s reception.
