Bipolar II is a treatable condition that affects parts of the brain controlling emotion, thought and drive and is likely caused by a "complex set of genetic and environmental factors," the clinic said. The statement also mentioned that Jackson underwent weight loss treatment in 2004. The clinic says weight loss surgery can change how the body absorbs foods and medications.

| The Institute for Southern Studies:

  "Adding to the concern are the storage caverns created over the years as salt has been removed. Currently Crosstex, Dow Chemical, Chevron and others store store natural gas and LPG under the community.  As a result of the sinkhole, they are currently in the process of removing their products from storage caverns.

Perhaps most concerning to residents is a cavern storing butane, which belongs to Crosstex. Officials have not yet determined whether or not to relocate the butane, which is highly flammable."

Mysterious Louisiana Sinkhole Raises Concerns of Explosions and Radiation

While officials are not certain what caused the massive sinkhole, they believe it may be have ben caused by a nearby salt cavern owned by the Texas Brine Company.

After being used for nearly 30 years, the cavern was plugged in 2011 and officials believe the integrity of the cavern may have somehow been compromised, leading to the sinkhole.
