Republican Senator Dick Black represents the newly formed 13th District encompassing both parts of Loudoun and Prince Williams Counties. Formerly, Senator Black represented the 32nd District in Loudoun County, Virginia, for eight years in the House of Delegates.

He enlisted in the Marines in 1963. By age 21, Black became a second lieutenant and was among the Marines' youngest aircraft carrier-qualified pilots. He flew 269 combat helicopter missions in Vietnam. Black also engaged in bitter ground combat with the 1st Marine Regiment. His radiomen were killed and he was wounded during an attack against enemy positions across the Hoi An River. Black served in small-unit actions where two fellow Marines--PFC Gary Martini and SSgt. Jimmie Howard--won the Medal of Honor. While in office, he was the only member of the Virginia General Assembly who held the Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in battle.

After the war, he served as a flight instructor and later attended engineer school. Black graduated second from engineer officers' class and was made a Company Commander. He deployed his 240-man unit to Vieques Island, Puerto Rico. There, Captain Black's Marines rebuilt the island runway. They operated a large rock quarry--drilling, blasting, crushing and trucking aggregate used to pave the airstrip. By then, Captain Black was 25 years old.

Dick left the Marines to attend the University of Florida. There, he was twice elected to the Student Senate. He graduated with honors from the School of Business in 1973 and earned a law degree in 1976. He practiced law in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, before accepting a commission as a Major in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG).

The Judge Advocate General of the Army appointed Dick to head the legal office at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. While there, he lobbied the Missouri legislature for legislation that curbed drunk driving. As an ex-officio member of the City Council for St. Robert, Missouri, Black led a major crackdown on vice that shut down eight houses of prostitution.

He supervised 40 attorneys at Ft. Lewis, Washington. There, he executed one of the most complex federal land transactions in recent years. He negotiated and developed legislation protecting competing interests of state and federal agencies, environmental groups, ranchers, and the Yakima Indian Nation. His efforts preserved the hunting and fishing rights of the Indian people, and provided for the eventual return of the vast, 63,000-acre tract to them.

In 1994, Colonel Dick Black retired from military service to become a partner in the law firm of Taylor, Horbaly, and Black. In addition to operating a successful law practice, Dick Black was a frequent media guest who appeared over 30 times on CNN and other national networks discussing foreign and military affairs.

Black has been a member of the Law Enforcement Alliance of America, Virginia Society for Human Life, National Federation of Independent Business, Knights of Columbus, Izaak Walton League, NRA, VFW, American Legion, Military Officers Association, and Virginia Right to Life.

He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of Virginia. He has held a Top Secret security clearance. His special interests include chemistry, herpetology, foreign and military affairs, construction engineering . . . and his nine grandchildren!

Colonel Black was elected to the House of Delegates in February 1998. His awards include the Samuel Adams Award for Leadership in Government, the Brent Society Distinguished Service Award for defending life, marriage and family values, the Project Michael Award for protecting unborn children, and the Lamplighter Award for defending human life.

National Right to Work selected him as Virginia's top legislator for 2003, an honor usually reserved for U.S. Senators and Representatives. In 2006, he received 100% ratings from the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Fairfax County Taxpayers Alliance, and the Family Foundation. Both the Family Foundation and the Virginia Association of Chiropractors named Delegate Black Northern Virginia Legislator of the Year. He earned an A+ rating from the NRA. His military awards include the Purple Heart Medal, three Legions of Merit, thirteen Air Medals, two Presidential Unit Citations, the Army General Staff Badge, and Naval Aviators' Wings of Gold. 

Senator Black was elected to serve in the Virginia State Senate on November 8, 2011 and proudly serves the citizens of the 13th District.

Preparations And Survival For Nuclear War

The immediate psychological effects of a thermonuclear explosion – a surface burst of a nuclear weapon (or weapons) that suck millions of tons of pulverized and radioactive earth into the air – will be outright terror.

Stunned terror, confusion and panic – primarily because it will be an event that is so entirely outside the realm of normal thinking – it will ‘not compute’.

Those who grew up during the height of the cold war with the USSR have a better understanding about the threat of nuclear war. They prepared and they drilled for nuclear war. It was part of their real world and was within the real realm of possibilities. For those born after the cold war, the threat of thermonuclear war is simply not a part of the thought process.

A nuclear attack will be completely and entirely unexpected by nearly everyone. Why? Because most everyone suffers from normalcy bias and most everyone believes that because nuclear war has never happened, it never will.

The problem with that thinking is the assumption that the “powers-that-be” and nuclear powers “heads of state” are stable, sane, logical minded, and follow the doctrine of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction). Many of us on the other hand also know that there are present day ‘questionable’ leaders and those in positions of world power and influence who may not necessarily place the same value on human life as you or I.

Suddenly, a brilliant and blinding flash of light…

Some people will think the end of the world is upon them following the blinding flash of light – seen many 10’s of miles from ground zero. The billowing red and orange fireball of boiling fire, towering into the sky, will trigger panic.

There will be no way to know at first if there are more to come, or if other cities have already been blasted. Chances are, there will be another wave.

The terror will paralyze most, who will do nothing at all due to shock and terror. There will even be those who will suffer heart-attacks from the fear and panic of the horrific event. Chaos.

The thing is, other than ground zero and the immediate vicinity within nuclear fallout, a nuclear attack is likely survivable, so long as you are not located within the blast zone of instant death. Certainly your life (everyone’s life) will be changed forever, but you will stand a chance to survive. Nuclear survival will involve many things and it will entail implementing a survival plan – up to and including a way of life which will give you a fighting chance to make it in a post modern world which may have been shredded and hurled into chaos.

What will you do immediately after the nuclear explosion?
The very first warning sign may be the blast itself.

Note: Under no circumstances should you look directly at the fireball, or suffer probable temporary (or permanent) blindness.

Your greatest immediate need will be shelter from fallout. Seek shelter immediately. If you are several miles out and survived the initial blast, you may have 30 seconds until the shock wave.

Even at 5 miles out, you may suffer third degree thermal-burns, depending on the nuclear blast yield. At 20 miles the heat may still burn your skin.

The wind from the vicinity shock wave will peak at around 600 mph and will level anything or anybody caught in the open.

The best bet for survival within blast zones and their perimeters will be underground, with dirt/earth between you and the fallout/radiation.

If the detonation was a surface blast, large amounts of nuclear fallout will occur as the blast mixes with earth (dirt/debris) and rises up into the atmosphere. The dust and debris kicked into the atmosphere will then “rain down”, bringing with it dangerous amounts of radiation. The fallout may drop from the atmosphere as contaminated black soot known as “black rain,” which is very fatal and may be of extreme temperature. Fallout will contaminate anything it touches.

Generally speaking, plan on staying in your shelter for a minimum of 200 hours (8-9 days) if you are anywhere withing the vicinity of the nuclear blast. Under no circumstances leave the shelter in the first forty-eight hours.

A primary aspect to survival will be to keep any radioactive dust/debris/fallout from contacting your body – or breathing it in, if you are within range of the fallout cloud.

After the initial shelter-in-place period, you will need to leave the area completely. The ground will be covered with radioactive dust/debris. Leave the area when “the dust has settled” so to speak. Then enact your bug-out plan.

If you are outside the range of nuclear fallout, then your primary concerns will be any immediate follow-on attack versus the proximity to where you are located. If that is not an issue, then you will be entering the phase of SHTF, where life as you know will be changed forever. Your survival will now depend on your preparations for a major collapse, and all that goes along with it…

The psychological preparations for nuclear war involve the acceptance that it could actually happen – shedding your normalcy bias, and then the planning for such an event (which will overlap with other preparations if you are a preparedness-minded person).

Note: After nuclear detonation(s) there will likely be financial meltdown. This in and of itself will bring chaos to the world as we know it.

The scope here is not to tell you how to survive nuclear war, but to get you to start thinking about it – the first step to taking action…

The propaganda war against Russia and China has already started, John Pilger points out. The US and its Nato allies are spoiling for a fight and tensions are escalating. It’s only a matter of time before the bombs begin to fall. 

I have been filming in the Marshall Islands, which lie north of Australia, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Whenever I tell people where I have been, they ask, “Where is that?” If I offer a clue by referring to “Bikini”, they say, “You mean the swimsuit.”

Few seem aware that the bikini swimsuit was named to celebrate the nuclear explosions that destroyed Bikini island. Sixty-six nuclear devices were exploded by the United States in the Marshall Islands between 1946 and 1958 — the equivalent of 1.6 Hiroshima bombs every day for twelve years.

Bikini is silent today, mutated and contaminated.  Palm trees grow in a strange grid formation. Nothing moves. There are no birds. The headstones in the old cemetery are alive with radiation. My shoes registered “unsafe” on a Geiger counter.

Commemorating 62 years of the largest weapon theUnited States has ever tested, the March 1, 1954 Bravo Hydrogen Bomb on Bikini Atoll. At 15 megatons, the blast vaporized 3 islands and was 1,000 times the magnitude of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear weapons dropped on Japan in World War II.

The fallout from this weapon has forever devestated the lives and the lands of the people of the Northern Marshall Islands.

2016 marks 70 years that the people of Bikini Atoll have lived in exile away from their beloved homeland.

20 of the 23 weapons tested by the United States on Bikini Atoll from 1946 to 1958 were hydrogen bombs.

The founder of modern propaganda, Edward Bernays, described this phenomenon as “the conscious and intelligent manipulation of the habits and opinions” of democratic societies. He called it an “invisible government”.

In 2009, President Obama stood before an adoring crowd in the centre of Prague, in the heart of Europe. He pledged himself to make “the world free from nuclear weapons”. People cheered and some cried. A torrent of platitudes flowed from the media. Obama was subsequently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

It was all fake. He was lying.

Described by the Guardian columnist Owen Jones as “funny, charming, with a coolness that eludes practically every other politician”, Obama the other day sent drones to slaughter 150 people in Somalia.  He kills people usually on Tuesdays, according to the New York Times, when he is handed a list of candidates for death by drone. So cool.

In the 2008 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton threatened to “totally obliterate” Iran with nuclear weapons.  As Secretary of State under Obama, she participated in the overthrow of the democratic government of Honduras. Her contribution to the destruction of Libya in 2011 was almost gleeful. When the Libyan leader, Colonel Gaddafi, was publicly sodomised with a knife – a murder made possible by American logistics – Clinton gloated over his death: “We came, we saw, he died.”

China Warns Of World WarIII Unless The US Backs Down On South China Sea

An increasingly assertive China has warned that World War III is "inevitable" unless the United States stops meddling in the South China Sea.

Defense officials of the United States and South Korea are to launch a joint working group Friday to discuss the deployment of a U.S. anti-missile defense system on the peninsula.

Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, a sophisticated apparatus that could deter incoming missiles, has been met with controversy in the region. Both China and Russia have opposed the deployment of THAAD, which could be used for regional surveillance.

The United States and South Korea have repeatedly stated the system would be deployed solely for the purposes of defending against a North Korea attack.

Syria, in the Middle East, is suffering from a Civil War which has been going on for several years. Rebels have been trying to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad. The Rebels are backed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Pakistan and other Sunni Muslim countries. Those Sunni Muslim countries do not like that Syria's President, Bashar Assad, is an Alawite Muslim, with beliefs closer to Shia Islam - the Iranian version of that "religion." Shias and Sunnis are ideological enemies on a horrific scale.

It is in the interest of the Sunni nations to have Assad overthrown, so they can enjoy hegemony over Syria and bring it into the Sunni sphere of influence as opposed to Syria getting closer to Iran and their Shia version of Islam.

The US also backed the rebels because, for whatever reason, we wanted Syria destabilized, as we did with Iraq, Libya and pretty much every other nation we've screwed-up for the past decade! In short, we in the U.S. and our allies, are backing rebels who are trying to overthrow the Syrian government. We're backing "the bad guys."

Syria has always been a military ally of Russia. Russia has a deep water port in Syria which is important to the Russian Navy. When it became clear to Russia that Syria was going to fall to the Rebels, Russia announced they were coming to the aid of their ally, at the request of Syria and with its permission.

•October 25 2016: The Russia/China alliance wins WWIII

•March 2017: The Chinese Yen becomes the new global currency

•Late 2018/early 2019: Russia attacks Israel

•2020: The Antichrist arrives on Earth and rules over us all
