Remember and never forget.

Memorial Day is fast approaching. We must remember these and never apologize.

Only a few Americans are alive now who lived in those times.  I would guess that a lot of college students are not aware of these places, or how they happened.  Sad commentary on History teachers.

These cemeteries are the best cared for in the world! A fitting memory for Memorial Day.

AFTER DEFENDING US  AGAINST OUR ENEMIES?  WE DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE... BUT WE HAVE ABSOULUTELY NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE! Americans, forward it! Non-patriotic, delete it! Most of the protected don't understand it. DO THINK ABOUT THIS. THANK YOU.

While we celebrate Memorial Day and remember the ultimate sacrifices made by many in defending freedom we might want to take a little time to reflect that all is not well with our world. Tyrants and despots are beginning to rise up again while expanding their influence as they have in the past, prior to the outbreak of WW II. Without America's strong and thoughtful leadership our world will look vastly different 50 years from today. Some examples that send shivers down my spine are provided below:

China is deploying military force to redraw the strategic map of Asia. Russia is working to construct a new shadow empire in Eurasia. Parts of the Middle East have collapsed into anarchy. Migrants from primarily Islamic countries are storming western democracies, while illegal immigration is creating sub-cultures within national borders, creating the potential for terrorism. Nativism, populism, and protectionism are putting Western democracies under pressure, threatening the historic gains born of globalization. Middle class jobs and incomes are rapidly disappearing, creating a high degree of economic inequality and societal instability.

On a lighter note, America has created a new form of reality TV with huge ratings potential--national presidential elections.
