Knowing the history of the old Olympia Theater now the " Gusman Center for the Performing. Arts " , one might also guess that this incredible find may be stage sets, relics from the theater's " live theater " days. In it's day the Olympia was known for it's realistic presentations, right down to it's ability to produce " weather " ( fog, mist, rain etc. ) indoors ▬ on stage.
ReplyDeleteI don't see it as much of a surprise that this discovery could well be the remains of a stage set from some epic theater production like Aida or Julius Caesar, stored in one of the Olympia's long lost underground ( basement ) archives. The REAL surprise is that it wasn't found sooner !
