"here is a close up of my new leg. it has a hip and a new sleeve on it. the hip bends as i walk and gives me a lot more stability. i'm hoping this new sleeve doesn't rub a blister. then i should be up and walking"

SSGT Christopher Walker was assigned to the 706th EOD unit in Afghanistan when he was struck by an IED on the evening of April 24th, 2012. His resulting injuries included the loss of both arms and his entire left leg, he should have died, but against all odds he survived.
These pictures and short video clips were taken over the past few weeks showing Chris's progress. Even in the midst of these injuries Chris has stayed upbeat and looks forward to each day, knowing that he is lucky to be alive. His improves more every day, and thrives on his supporters well wishes and prayers.
