Work: As a lawyer I have always worked for myself. The primary interest in the practice of law is the lives of the individual clients and their families for whom I serve. After 20 years of practice my clients honor me with their trust. Twenty years of representing Florida's families will make a great judge.
Reason for running in this judicial campaign:
"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances there is a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be aware of the change in the air -however slight- lest we become unwitting victims of darkness." United States Supreme Court Justice, William Douglas
Our moral, ethical, religious, and legal obligation is to bring about the promise of the Florida Constitution, Article 1, section 2: Basic Rights:
"All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty, to pursue happiness, to be rewarded for industry and to acquire possessions and protect property. No person shall be deprived of any right because of race, religion, national origin, or physical disability."
Do you believe it? Do you believe that God created life? Do you believe that each of us has the right to enjoy and defend life? Do you believe that no person shall be deprived of the right to enjoy and defend life because of race, religion, national origin, or physical disability?
I have sworn an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the State of Florida and the Constitution of the United States of America. I was sworn to that oath as an officer of the court when I became a lawyer. The Oath of Admission to the Florida Bar starts with: " I do solemnly swear: I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Florida..." The Oath continues and contains the following: " I will never reject, from any consideration personal to myself, the cause of the defenseless or oppressed..." and ends with: "So help me God"
If you are a person who trusts in faith, who believes as I believe to never reject the cause of the defenseless or oppressed, then you know your duty in this election year.
I have specifically run against this seated Judge because of the real and present crisis of confidence the people have for their Court. I will follow the law. We cannot let the change in the air - however slight - to allow us to become victims of the darkness.
Vote as if your life depended on it.
