Breaking: Another Explosion At Japanese Nuclear Plant

Breaking~
Japan’s nuclear safety agency says an explosion  occurred early Tuesday morning at the No. 2 reactor of the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. The reactor’s pressure suppression pool, which converts steam into water, may have been damaged, the agency says, and radioactive materials are feared to be leaking out.
Workers have been evacuated from the vicinity.
The blast follows a hydrogen explosion Monday morning at the No. 3 reactor of the same power plant and a hydrogen blast Saturday in the No. 1 unit.
The plant’s operators had been pouring seawater into the reactors to cool their cores, which are believed to have melted partially after coolant levels fell following the quake, leading to exposure of the fuel rods to air.
Tokyo Electric Power Co. said late Monday that the fuel rods in reactor No. 2 became fully exposed to air in the evening and again late at night because of a substantial drop in the amount of cooling water in the reactor.
