A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has struck near the Southeast of the Loyalty Islands at a depth of 49.6 km ( 30.8 miles), the quake hit at 20:03:26 UTC Wednesday 27th July 2011.
The epicenter was 217 km (134 miles) ESE of Tadine, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia
No Tsunami Warning issued - No damage or injuries reported at this time
