This issue of of great improtance to me as a person who cares about both my health and my freedom. S. 510 will totally industrialize the production of food in the US, taking away our ability to save seed or access clean, unadulterated food grown by local farmers using chemical-free, cruelty-free methods. Not only that, it will bring all of the dangerous and repressive Codex standards and guidelines into full force in the US, further degrading our food. I urge you to take the following simple and effective steps which I have already taken: 1. Forward this link, http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/568/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=4613, to everyone on your contact list with a note similar to mine urging them to take the same two steps The House version of this disastrous bill, HR 2749, has already passed so if S. 510 is allowed to pass, too, organic and personal food production will be, quite literally, completely eliminated in this country.
