Words From the Father--Stephen Hanson
With all of the chaos going on with our government one might get the idea that God isn't in control and that our world exists apart from Him. We need to understand that His government operates in a much different way than the kingdoms of this world.
Jesus answered to Pilate, " My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."
I believe that God allows kingdoms and leaders to go about their business making decisions that could prove their downfall so that in time they might see that they ultimately need Him. Of course many kingdoms and leaders fall without realizing this. We see how Rome fell in but a day as Nero played his violin as the city burned. We live in this world but we're not "of this world." Even though our king is not of this world, we still live in the world of the kingdoms of this world. We still have bills to pay, routines and time schedules to keep. But because we are identified with another kingdom, we have some freedoms:
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Col. 2
We know that eventually the kingdoms of this world will perish and that there will be new heavens and a new earth. I look forward to the walls of that city and to live where the lion and the lamb will lay down together peacefully. I long to be in a world where they will beat their swords into plowshares. I long for the day when "No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; For the child shall die one hundred years old. I long for the day when, They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. "
But until God's kingdom is completely manifested upon this earth, we live in the kingdoms of this earth. Until then we still have sickness and government shut downs. Until then we have murder, hatred, and deceit. But the other world that we look towards has a foretaste within our hearts. We have an insurance policy that has already been stamped by the King of Kings. And we can be assured that no matter if the mountains fall into the sea, and kingdoms fall, that we have an inheritance waiting for us.
And actually even though we live in this world and kingdom, because of who we are identified with, we will be kept under the wings of the Almighty and kept safe from the storms that are coming and that are here now. Even though some of our jobs have been cut and expenses seem to be rising on every corner, He will take care of His own. He won't let His children beg for bread or walk the streets without a home or a shelter to live in. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and He can sustain us when it appears that nothing around us will.

2 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” 4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. 5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
