Nuke Plant Concern Propels Evacuation After Killer Quake, Tsunami Rock Japan

The largest earthquake in Japanese history unleashed a 30-foot tsunami that killed hundreds there Friday and rattled countries around the Pacific basin. Worry stretched as far as Northern California, where hundreds were evacuated as a precaution. Concerns about potential peril from a nuclear plant in Japan prompted the evacuation of thousands and sent natural gas prices higher. However, the Japanese government says no radiation is leaking.
