Let God Arise; Let His enemies be scattered. Let also those who hate Him flee before Him. (Psalms 68:1)

    A MEDIEVAL MIRACLE FOR ISRAEL

MEDIEVAL BOOK OF PSALMS UNEARTHED, OPENED TO PSALM 83

The approximately 20-page book has been dated to the years 800-1000. Trinity College manuscripts expert Bernard Meehan said it was the first discovery of an Irish early medieval document in two centuries."This is really a miracle find," said Pat Wallace, director of the National Museum of Ireland, which has the book stored in refrigeration.
"There's two sets of odds that make this discovery really way out," Wallace said. "First of all, it's unlikely that something this fragile could survive buried in a bog at all, and then for it to be unearthed and spotted before it was destroyed is incalculably more amazing. "An engineer, digging up bogland last week in Ireland's midlands, spotted the manuscript." Wallace would not specify where the book was found because a team of archaeologists is still exploring the site. Crucially, he said, the bog owner covered up the book with damp soil. Had it been left exposed overnight, he said, "it could have dried out and just vanished, blown away."
The book was found open to a page describing, in Latin script, Psalm 83, in which God hears complaints of how Arab and Middle Eastern powers form a covenant against the God of Israel and the nation of Israel to wipe out the name of Israel. Wallace said several experts spent Tuesday analyzing only that page -- the number of letters on each line, lines on each page, size of page -- and the book's binding and cover, which he described as "leather velum, very thick wallet in appearance." Months of study are required just to identify the safest way to pry open the pages without damaging or destroying them. (AP)
? Read and study Psalm 83, preferably with a Biblical dictionary. Pray the words of the Psalmist over the enemies of Israel who now attack God's land. Give thanks to the Lord for His revealing His Word for this hour. Call out for either the repentance or the destruction of terrorists. We also find it of interest that this book will be STUCK OPEN to that page -- and to Psalm 83 -- for several more months, as the archaeologists work to preserve this volume. This IS the decree of the Lord!
? O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." . . . Cover their faces with shame so that men will seek your name, O LORD. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:1-4; 16-18)

    1. House OKs India Nuclear Package - AP

The House of Representatives has voted overwhelmingly to allow U.S. shipments of civilian nuclear fuel and technology to India, handing President George W. Bush a major victory on one of his top foreign policy initiatives. Congressman Tom Lantos said the proposal, which reverses decades of U.S. anti-proliferation policy, is "a tidal shift in relations between India and the United States."

? Please join us in prayer for Godly leadership and governing for both America and India. ? "He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will become known." (Proverbs 10: 9 NKJV)
    2. Washington State Supreme Court Rules on Gay Marriage - AP

The Washington Supreme Court has upheld the state ban on gay marriage. In the 5-4 decision, the court says state lawmakers have the power to restrict marriage to heterosexual couples. The court says the Washington Defense of Marriage Act is constitutional. It defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Today's decision leaves Massachusetts as the only state to allow homosexual couples to wed. Forty-five states ban gay marriage.

? God speaks to the unnatural perversion of homosexuality and His call for righteousness in His Word. ? "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." (Romans 1: 26-27 NKJV)
    3. Drop Reported In Number Of Illegals Caught Trying To Cross Border - AP

"The number of illegal immigrants caught trying to sneak into the United States has dropped since President Bush ordered the military to help tighten the border, the head of the Border Patrol said Tuesday. Officials surmise that part of the reason is that fewer people are even attempting to enter the states because they're discouraged by the ramp-up in efforts against them.

? Praise God for the decrease in illegals entering America! ? "Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; though they join forces, none will go unpunished." ? (Proverbs 16: 5 NKJV)
    4. New Procedure To Help Ensure Innocent Travelers Not Hassled - Washington Times

"Customs and Border Protection officials say they have introduced a new procedure for travelers who have the same name as a suspected terrorist, to help ensure that innocents are not stopped and questioned every time they enter the country merely because of such coincidences.

? God knows our true identies. May we know who we are and Whom we belong to, too! ? "For Jacob My servant's sake, and Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me." (Isaiah 45: 4-5 NKJV)
    5. Colombians To Train Afghans In Fight Against Illegal Drugs - Washington Times

"The chairman of the House International Relations Committee said yesterday that a contingent of Colombian narcotics fighters is due in Afghanistan this week to share its expertise in combating powerful drug lords. 'Two separate groups coming from different environments attacking the same problem are bound to produce some new ideas,' Rep. Henry J. Hyde, Illinois Republican, said in an interview.

? Oh Lord, we pray that the universal darkness of illegal drug trafficking will be brought to light. ? "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; for her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold." (Proverbs 3: 13 NKJV)
    6. US Urges Moscow to Reconsider Venezuela Arms Deal - VOA

The United States Tuesday again urged the Russian government to reconsider a $1 billion military aircraft sale to Venezuela. U.S. officials say Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez' weapons plans exceed the country's defensive needs.

? Pride comes before a fall. ? "The wicked man does deceptive work, but he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward." (Proverbs 11: 18 NKJV)
A Win in the State of Washington

A Win in the State of Washington

On the heels of marriage victories in New York, Nebraska, Georgia and Connecticut, the Washington State Supreme Court today ruled that a law limiting marriage to one man and one woman is constitutional. The 5-4 ruling overturns the decisions of two lower courts that had declared the Washington Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) unconstitutional. In today?s opinion the court wrote: ?It cannot be overemphasized that our state constitution provides for a representative democracy. . . and that the public consensus, as evidenced by legislation adopted after robust debate, must be given great deference.?
Could it be that judges nationwide, observing how overwhelmingly the public has rejected the idea of men marrying men, are starting to exercise some long-overdue judicial restraint? It?s too early to tell, but we should get a better idea when the New Jersey Supreme Court decides on the constitutionality of that state?s marriage law. The New Jersey court is notoriously liberal, and if homosexual activists win, New Jersey could start issuing marriage licenses to homosexual couples from other states, setting off a flurry of litigation in the federal courts challenging the constitutionality of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. Remember, my friends, even though traditional marriage has achieved some victories of late, it only takes one court determined to impose same-sex ?marriage? on its citizens to threaten marriage everywhere.

National Day of Prayer Task Force Calls for Prayer for the Middle East

Colorado Springs, CO - National Day of Prayer Chairwoman Shirley Dobson has issued the following statement:
?As the tragic conflict in the Middle East continues, we at the National Day of Prayer Task Force want to urge Americans to pray, not merely for one more temporary ceasefire that could ultimately prolong the conflict and cost more lives, but for a miraculous settlement that would end the turmoil that has brought suffering and death to so many innocent people. We must pray also that this powder keg in the Middle East will not escalate and lead to greater violence around the world.
?We are calling on all people of faith to take time today and in the coming weeks to pray for the following:

    * Comfort for all who have lost loved ones
    * A unified call from world leaders for an end to terrorism
    * Secure borders for Israel
    * Safety for civilians in battle zones
    * A miracle that exceeds human strategies, which so far has been deficient.
?By uniting in prayer as a nation, we can avail ourselves of the wisdom that only God provides. By petitioning Him for mercy and grace, people everywhere can be a very real and necessary part of the hope and healing. Through prayer, we can call on the power of God Himself.?

?Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ?May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.?? (Psalm 122:6-7 NIV)
    We additionally seek:

*Divine wisdom for America?s leaders at this time
*Protection of all American military troops and their families
*Protection from the US being pulled into this conflict
