The angular momentum theory discussed in Indiadaily a few weeks back is slowly taking grip over the world. California in America is experiencing extreme weather and land slide. A huge mudslide crashed down on homes in a coastal hamlet with terrifying force Monday, killing at least one person and leaving up to 12 missing as a Pacific storm hammered California for a fourth straight day. The mudslide fatality takes the death toll from the storm system to 10. Some wounded residents were evacuated on gurneys while others were able to walk to safety carrying pets or hastily grabbed belongings.

A powerful storm hit the north of Europe and several regions of Russia yesterday. The Moscow meteorological bureau has released a storm warning on account of a very strong wind, the speed of which reached 20 meters per second. The Moscow authorities ordered to take urgent measures to strengthen high-rise buildings and commercial constructions in the streets of the city.

The storm warning has been in effect for two days in St. Petersburg. The city in the north-west of Russia has been flooded; the water level in the Neva River is rising very fast because of the strong wind and unusually warm weather. Several metro stations located close to the Neva have already been closed in St. Petersburg.

An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale was felt in the Indonesian province of Aceh on Monday morning, reports Xinhua. The epicentre was located in the Indian Ocean about 149 km southwest of Aceh at 05:12 a.m. (22:12 GMT Sunday), according to a report from the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency. On December 26, a quake measuring 9 on the Richter scale in the Indian Ocean triggered a tsunami that swept through several areas in Aceh and left more than 1,00,000 people dead.
There are reports sporadic earthquakes in many parts of Andaman and Assam.

Kamchatka volcanos' in Russia are active again.

The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity. ~ Arthur J. Balfour
